Es por eso que este trabajo presenta un an\u00e1lisis de contenido cuantitativo que mide la presencia o ausencia de criterios de calidad period\u00edstica en la cobertura del COVID-19 en el pa\u00eds. Estainvestigaci\u00f3n analiza las noticias publicadas por 4 medios nativos digitales durante el periodo de marzo a mayo del 2020, primertrimestre de la emergencia sanitaria. Se identificaron diferentes variables abordadas mediante un estudio inspirado en el M\u00e9todo de Valor Agregado Period\u00edstico (VAP).Este instrumento permite comparar el trabajo en cat\u00e1strofe con los patrones tradicionales del periodismo, y a partir de ello analizar las deficiencias y dificultades en este tipo de coberturas.<\/p><p><strong>Palabras clave:<\/strong> Periodismo, COVID-19,cobertura en crisis, transformaci\u00f3n laboral<\/p><h5>Abstract<\/h5><p>The arrival of the coronavirus in Ecuador generated challenges in various sectors, as well as in the media. That is why this work presents a quantitative content analysis that measures the presence or absence of journalistic quality criteria in the coverage of COVID-19 in the country. This research analyzes the news published by 4 native digital media during the period from March to May 2020, the first quarter of the health emergency. Different variables addressedby a study inspired by the Journalistic Value Added Method (VAP) were identified.
